"There's Something in My Eye" (coming 2025), is a 2-minute animated short film about a girl overwhelming with suppressed grief as she mourns a memory of the past, encountering a whimsical little critter who guides her towards learning how to release.
As director, I have:
• Led a 20-member team over five months, scripted, directed, and assisted producing a 2-minute emotionally resonant animated short film; coordinated and provided creative revision across the entire pipeline from pre-production to post-production.
• Actively contributed to and creatively directed multiple production teams, composed original music score, and explored the dynamic adaptation of Impressionist oil painting styles through animation.
• Created pipeline guides and annotated pages that provide step-by-step assistance on the film's technical and creative direction.
• Collaborated with the Art Director (Jasmine Lin) to create an art book for the film, preparing materials for promotional use and film festival submissions.
Since the film is preparing for festival runs, here are some selected examples of pre-production and production work I contributed to the film.
